Acquisition of 265’ OAG Navigator; Establishes Honolulu, Hawaii as New Home Port

February 22, 2026

Piney Point, Maryland – [February 2026] – Offshore Aviation Group (OAG) today announced the acquisition of the 265-foot offshore support vessel OAG Navigator from Northstar Marine. The vessel will be home ported in Honolulu, Hawaii, establishing a new Pacific base of operations for the company and expanding OAG’s operational footprint beyond the continental United States.

The OAG Navigator is a 265-foot multi-mission offshore support vessel designed for complex maritime operations. The vessel will continue to perform under the companies existing contract work which includes work for the US Navy and  National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

“This acquisition represents a strategic step forward for Offshore Aviation Group,” said Robert Hicks, CEO of OAG. “The OAG Navigator  and heavy lift cranes enhance our ability to deliver reliable, scalable maritime support in the Pacific while reinforcing our commitment to the U.S. Government customers we serve. Establishing Honolulu as a home port allows us to operate closer to mission requirements and better support NOAA and Navy operations throughout the region.”

By home porting the vessel in Honolulu, OAG strengthens its operational reach across the Pacific theater and positions the company to support ongoing and future federal contracts. The location provides direct access to Pacific maritime operations, reducing mobilization time and improving responsiveness to mission-critical tasking.

The OAG Navigator will support NOAA buoy tender operations, assisting in the deployment, maintenance, and recovery of navigation and environmental monitoring buoys critical to maritime safety and oceanographic data collection. In addition, the vessel will continue supporting U.S. Navy mission requirements, providing offshore logistics and maritime operational capability.

The acquisition underscores OAG’s continued expansion as a maritime and aviation systems support company. With vessels operating in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, Offshore Aviation Group provides turnkey maritime solutions, integrating experienced crews, compliant operational procedures, and mission-ready platforms in support of U.S. Government operations.

“Our expansion into Hawaii is more than geographic growth,” Hicks added. “It reflects our long-term commitment to building resilient maritime capability wherever our customers need it. We are proud to make Hawaii our newest operational base and look forward to contributing to the local maritime community.”
