Offshore Aviation Group (OAG), a Veteran-Owned Small Business specializing in maritime and aviation systems support, highlights the operational deployment of the OAG Responder, a 210-foot offshore support vessel acquired in 2024 to execute torpedo recovery, buoy servicing, and subsea range support missions.
Constructed by Bender Shipbuilding & Repair Co. in Mobile, Alabama, the OAG Responder represents Gulf Coast-built durability combined with mission-configurable offshore capability. The vessel is classed by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and U.S.-flagged, positioning it to support federal and defense maritime operations.
OAG was recently awarded a contract with NOAA’s National Data Buoy Center ocean buoy network. OAG is proud to be part of their efforts to provide accurate forecasts that are critical to the safety of coastal communities and mariners.
Acquired specifically to support underwater test article retrieval and range support services, the OAG Responder integrates heavy-lift capability with precision handling systems designed for dynamic offshore environments.
Deck & Lift Equipment includes (2) deck cargo cranes and(1) 20-ton Stern Mounted A-frame. The vessel has ample aft working deck configurable for winches, ROV spreads, and containerized mission modules
